Tigran Harutyunyan is an architect and theorist of architecture based in Moscow.He graduated the Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction, Faculty of Architecture in 2005. In 2008 he defended his PhD thesis in the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Institute of Art on the topic of stylistic features of post-soviet Armenian architecture.
The main sphere of Tigran Harutyunyan's investigations is post‐soviet architecture and urbanism which is viewed in the context of current and past trends of modern architecture. In his PhD research he has mostly focused on specific problems of architecture of transitional period from Communism to Capitalism.
Tigran Harutyunyan has publications in various professional and academic websites, magazines, books in Armenia, Russia, Germany and Croatia. He completed his first book to be published in 2017 in Germany.He has given series of public lecture in Armenia and Russia (Armenian museum of Moscow, Institut Supérieur d’Ingénierie Français en Arménie etc) and has participated in international conferences in Russia and Armenia.
